Level Down is an experience in style and sound. The four individuals that comprise this project each come from far different musical backgrounds, yet culminate to produce an original hard rock performance. From all corners of the musical spectrum, each member contributes a unique influence to an intense sound. Level Down, as a band, has labored to make each of their songs distinctly different from each other so that every song is an experience. Each piece has a style and sense of urgency that is unmistakably Level Down. While Level Down’s overall sound is hard driven rock, it incorporates sounds and melodies from Celtic, classical and punk music.

Our CD Release Level Down incorporates the different styles that each member brings to the table. The 11 original tracks span the 5 years career and includes a bonus song that was recorded in August of this year just for this album. The bonus song is “The Break Up Song” originally written and recorded by The Greg Kihn Band. We received permission from Greg and Riot media to record the song.

Level Down was formed in 2001, Dan Myers (Vocals), J Ellis (Guitar), Al Hay (Bass) and John Weekes (Drums).  Al, John, and Jay were working on a new project after the demise of their former band Zomija when Dan rounded out the foursome that became Level Down. They then began writing material for the first EP, The Human Experience. During the spring of 2002.
